On a simple level, the way that HailCab works is to use the GPS chip in your cell phone to locate your exact position and synchronize that information with available cabs that are in close vicinity to you. Sounds simple right? It isn't as easy as it sounds as we are syncronizing cab locations and availability with many different types of carriers and cell phone types. But that is what our passion with HailCab is all about...making life easier for your day and saving you time and money.

How does it work?
Everyone's cell phone that is in the HailCab Network becomes a node in a communications network. If your cell phone is on and transmitting information about your location, it will work with our system, all you have to do is turn your phone on. (you can also use the text messaging feature to catch a cab too)
This technology is based on LBS or Location Based Services.
